Introduction
Welcome to CJ's Pick Six (IRL IndyCar)!
What is Pick 6? In the Indy Racing League (IRL) IndyCar Series Pick 6, you assume the role of a racing analyst. You will choose your favorite (or not so favorite) drivers who you think will finish in the top 6 positions of each race in the current calendar year. Bonus points are scored if you can choose the pole winners too. All IndyCar races are all to be counted into the Pick 6 Championship. Based on your picks and the drivers finishing position, you will receive points. The overall goal is to win the Championship.
Anybody can become an analyst, and you can start at any point during the season. All you have to do is submit a line-up. We can have as many analysts as wish to play.

Driver Position Submission
All Analysts are asked to use the entry form or, if the form page is down, submit via email, drivers car numbers for each race in the order you think they will finish. Some drivers have the same last name, so we use the car number.
Picks can be submitted any time up until race time. Picks should be posted using Pick Six entry form. Please allow service time to connect/transfer as I will be using the time it is received, not sent. Normally, the final picks are retrieved as the green flag falls.
If submission cannot be made for a particular race, previous race picks will be used. These picks will be carried over for the entire season, but a penalty will be assessed after two races (see scoring). Arrangements can be made to accommodate vacations, or other times when picks cannot be made. While it is recommended picks be made each week, you don't have to worry about posting a new line-up every race to play.
If a duplicate entry is made in your picks, only the first occurence will be scored. Normally, if you have submitted your email, I will send a reply back detailing the occurence so a new driver can be picked (before the green flag of course).
Results will be displayed on the results page. Unless requested, results will not be sent via email.

Points and Scoring
Points are awarded to analysts based on their picks and the actual drivers finishing position in the races. Analysts who pick the correct driver to finish in 1st would score the points for 1st. If an analyst picks a driver that finishes in the top six, but not the correct position, 13 points are scored.

Bonus points are earned if an analyst correctly predicts a driver to start in any one of the top three positions. 3 points if the driver starts from the pole, 2 if the driver starts 2nd, and 1 if the driver starts 3rd.
If an analyst does not post a new line-up for two consecutive races a descending scale will be used to determine the 'penalty'. Use the following table to determine penalty %. After 6 weeks, the analyst will be removed. Analysts who make prior arrangements with the can have their picks carry over for more than two weeks.
