BPHS Class of 1982 - Family Beach Party

It's that time again, to get together and get caught up! Bring your family, friends and other classmates. Any and all BPHS alumni are welcome. The temperature is still hot, the sun is bright and summer time is still here for a little while longer. We're at Bolsa Chica State beach.

Saturday, September 29 th , 2007, all day .

Suggested time of arrival by 1:00 PM for close parking.

Parking may be very limited later in afternoon. Arrive as early as 10:00 AM and stay until we get kicked off the beach at 10:00 PM or just come by for as long as you'd like.

Bolsa Chica state beach is located 3 miles north of Huntington Beach and just south of Sunset beach, between Warner and Golden West streets. From 405-- Take Golden West Exit and go south, towards the beach. Go all the way to PCH and turn right onto PCH north. The Bolsa Chica state beach has an unmarked traffic signal at the entrance; entrance is not well marked with signs, but the only thing around. Enter beach and pay parking fee ($10.00 per car) and go towards the right (north/west). Proceed up the road and turn left into the last parking lots by Jack in the Box. Look for lifeguard station #24 and park nearby. We'll be at a fire ring in this area. Look for the BPHS signs, as the exact fire pit isn't guaranteed as it is first come, first serve basis.

Shoreline and fire rings are close at this beach. Close, private restroom facilities. Clean, remodeled beach facilities. Across PCH is the Bolsa Chica ecological preserve for viewing and study of coastal birds and wildlife. Also available: Fishing, biking, surfing, snack bar, basketball court, and hot coin showers.

We recommend everyone bring their own: shade or umbrellas, sunscreen, hats, chairs/blankets, games. Extra canopies and EZ ups are welcome.

Dogs and alcohol are not allowed on this beach.

It will be chilly to cold after dark and is always windy on the beach. Bring extra clothing.

Hot dogs and marshmellows will be provided.

Bonfires are available for cooking; extra cooking sticks are needed.

Please bring along food, munchies and drinks for your family.

Please also bring some firewood if possible, the more you bring, the bigger the bonfire!

In the event of rainy weather an alternative location is being considered in the beach area. Per the weather persons, temps should be in the 75 - 80 's and should have no rain. Just in case though bring an extra change of clothing. Suggestions are welcome.

Since August 3, 2002, have you heard from your fellow classmates??? There were many contact made and friendships renewed. If you haven't heard from anyone, let's try to change that. These pages will be updated with pictures and information about various alumni from Baldwin Park High School. We will have a mailing list available via yahoo groups that anyone can join. Hopefully, the reunion committee (thank you again for all your hard work for the 20th) who brought many of us together can use this too. We'd like to make this a forum where you can meet your best friends, and form new relationships with other alumni.
